FAQ

I know you've got questions about

The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ program.

So, I've got answers...

Is there a specific "Start Date" for the program?

The program is designed with flexibility in mind. There are no fixed start or end dates, offering you complete flexibility to begin and progress at your own pace.

What is the duration of The Anchored Abstinence Recipe Program?

The program is structured around a 13-week (12+1) module system, which is ideally completed over three consecutive months. However, we understand the need for flexibility, so the program is also adaptable to be completed over a six-month period, allowing you to progress at a pace that suits your individual needs and schedule.

Can I occasionally enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail without fully committing to abstinence after the program?

Yes. Many participants start with the goal of enjoying a drink or two in moderation, and avoiding a return to old habits. This program empowers you to determine what works best for you. To reset your tolerance to alcohol, it's crucial to exclude wine and cocktails from your diet for the duration of the program, while diligently following our protocols. We work with you to create a practical and sustainable approach to removing it from your diet at the onset of the program. The next steps are designed to repair, rebuild, and rebalance your brain, body-mind and body systems. Once you've completed the program and based on your newfound understanding of your self and your control, you will be able to make an empowered decision about whether or not to reintroduce wine or cocktails into your diet without being at risk of slipping back into old routines.

For how long can I access the 1:1 and group coaching calls in the program?

You will have access to both the private 1:1 coaching calls and the group coaching calls for the length of your program (3 to 6 months). Upon graduation from the program you will also have the option to maintain, an alumni monthly membership for extended support and guidance.

Is it possible to complete only a selection of the modules in the program?

The program is designed to deliver the most impactful results through the completion of all modules in a sequential order. Our extensive research and beta-testing have shown that participants achieve the deepest transformation and gain the highest level of confidence in maintaining their goals when they fully engage with each module. Thus, to maximize the benefits and effectiveness of the program, it is essential to complete all the modules as presented.

Will I receive sufficient support in the group format of The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ program?

Absolutely. The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™, is designed to provide extensive support, even within its group setting. Participants benefit from a range of support mechanisms, including detailed module-by-module check-ins, weekly emails, interactive lesson-by-lesson 1:1 support, personalized one-to-one consultations, an engaging community group, and weekly group coaching calls. Rest assured, the level of support provided in the group program matches, and in some aspects, surpasses what you would receive in a strictly one-to-one setting. A key component of this program is the invaluable community and team support, where the shared experiences and encouragement from other women significantly contribute to each participant's success.

What can I expect from the one-to-one consultations in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ program?

The one-to-one consultations are a pivotal part of The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™. Here's what to expect:

Initial Consultation: In your first module, you'll have a 60 minute session with Angelina via Zoom/phone. This session focuses on fine-tuning your nutrition and supplement plans and creating your personalized alcohol elimination plan. We'll also walk you through the program platform, including the Welcome module and customizable meal planner, ensuring you understand how to access and complete all necessary components.

Program Check-ins: Subsequent consultations, each lasting 30-45 minutes, are scheduled by you upon completing a module. These sessions are designed to review your progress, address any questions, identify new insights, review worksheets, personalize your plans/protocols and celebrate your wins.

Final Consultation: In your last consultation, we'll evaluate your reassessment results and discuss your ongoing plan. This is an invaluable opportunity to conduct a detailed retrospective analysis of your program detailing the elements which were critical to your success and providing clarity on your future direction.

Throughout the program, you have ample opportunities to ask questions, including Ask & Answer access to your Abstinence Coach from within each lesson in the program platform. Plus, the flexibility to schedule consultations at times that suit you best ensuring personalized support tailored to your individual journey.

Is it possible to participate in the program if I'm not active on social media?

Yes, participation in the program does not require active social media usage. All weekly coaching calls are conducted via Zoom, and personal 1:1 coaching consultations can be held either on Zoom or by phone as an alternative.

However, we do highly recommend considering a Facebook account to engage with The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ Group. Many participants have created a minimal Facebook profile—without a photo or connections—solely for the purpose of participating in the program. The private Facebook group offers a wealth of support, inspiration, and guidance, making it an invaluable resource for quick answers and peer interaction during your program journey.

NOTE: Moving off Facebook onto our own platform is in the work! :)

What should I do if I'm unable to attend the group coaching calls live?

We understand that schedules can vary, which is why the weekly group coaching calls are scheduled at five different times throughout the month, offering flexibility for attendance. For members who cannot attend a call live, there's an option to submit questions or topics for discussion each week directly to the coach or counselor. Additionally, you can access recordings of the calls, ensuring you don't miss out on the valuable insights and discussions that take place and share any insights or questions you may have. This approach ensures that all participants, regardless of their availability, can fully benefit from the group coaching experience.

Is laboratory testing a requirement for participating in the program?

The program is designed to be individualized and effective without the necessity of medical laboratory testing. We utilize information provided in your alcohol bio-type assessment, health history intake and nutritional profile assessment to personalize your nutrition, supplement and lifestyle protocols.

We do consider recent (within 12 months) laboratory test results. These results will be used enhance our understanding of your benchmark health history, alcohol, and nutritional assessments, allowing for more personalized recommendations.

In certain cases, based on your health history, we might suggest that you undergo laboratory testing through your medical practitioner or a healthcare professional. This is only recommended if we believe current laboratory data would be beneficial to your program experience.

It's important to note that we do not order, conduct, or directly receive any laboratory test results. The program is structured to accommodate varying levels of medical information, ensuring that each participant receives tailored guidance and support.

Is purchasing supplements necessary for success in the program?

While the use of supplements is recommended, it's not mandatory for success. We understand that making significant shifts in brain and body health in a short period can be challenging through diet and lifestyle changes alone. Hence, we recommend specific supplements, selected from professional online dispensaries based on their dosages and ingredients, to ensure optimal efficacy and suitability for your needs. These supplements are chosen from a range of professional-grade options.

We have structured the program to allow for the staggered purchase of supplements, bundled into various packages, so you can acquire them as needed throughout the program's duration. If you prefer to use your own supplements, they should meet the criteria outlined in the program to ensure they align with our standards and your health goals. This approach allows for client flexibility while ensuring that participants receive the most effective support for their nutritional needs.

What kind of results can be anticipated after completing the program?

Upon completing the program, participants experience the elimination of cravings, thoughts, desires, or inclinations towards alcohol consumption. Graduates choose to completely exclude wine and cocktails from their diet or to moderate their consumption effortlessly. This newfound control transcends the feeling of being restricted or confined.

Beyond changes in alcohol-related habits, women in the program also report a variety of other positive outcomes, including:

Physical Health Improvements: Weight loss, increased energy, enhanced sleep quality, better memory, clarity, and focus, improved digestive health and bowel movements, reduced bloating and diarrhea/constipation, reduced aches and pains.

Mental and Emotional Benefits: Enhanced mood, better stress management, increased patience and tolerance, reduction or elimination of perimenopause/menopause symptoms.

Aesthetic Enhancements: Healthier looking and feeling skin, hair, and nails and weight loss.

Personal and Social Development: Improved relationships, a deeper sense of self, and a renewed belief in their own strength, abilities, and self-love.

These results differ among participants and reflect the holistic approach of the program, impacting various aspects of health and well-being.

Is my location a factor in accessing and participating in the program? Is there an app for the program?

Your location does not limit your ability to participate in our program. You can access the program platform and join coaching calls from anywhere in the world using a personal computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The program app gives you access to your program website from your desktop or your mobile. The program is designed to be highly accessible, with all worksheets available online for easy completion. However, having access to a printer is strongly recommended for the best experience. Our client base is diverse, with participants from Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, demonstrating the program's wide accessibility and effectiveness regardless of geographical location.

How does this program differ from typical recovery programs or self-help approaches?

The distinctiveness of our program lies in its comprehensive approach to both the physiological body and psychological mind. We focus on working with your physical brain and body at the cellular level, employing targeted nutrition and movement strategies to correct neurological and hormonal imbalances. This approach is fundamental in breaking free from the habitual cycle that many women find challenging.

In tandem with addressing physiological and biochemical imbalances, we also engage with the mental and emotional aspects of the nightly habit. This is achieved through a combination of psychoeducation, dialectic behaviour therapy training, cognitive behavior training, self-discovery, and professional accountability and support.

Our holistic strategy ensures a complete mind and body transformation, enabling you to gain independence from wine or cocktails without the sensation of missing out. Upon completion of the program, you will have gained a profound personal experience and a solid understanding of how the right protocols can break alcohol dependency. Moreover, you will be equipped with practical, actionable, and sustainable skills that empower you to maintain your success independently in your life well beyond the program.

How does this program differ from the support I'm already receiving from a medical professional?

The key difference lies in the nature and extent of support provided. While medical professionals offer valuable health care, they often lack the capacity to deliver the continuous, personalized nutritional and lifestyle support that is crucial for long-term success. Our program bridges this gap by focusing on sustainable mental shifts alongside dietary and lifestyle changes consistently with regular connection points. It's important to recognize that medication alone cannot fully address root cause imbalances or compensate for an inadequate diet and lifestyle. By complementing the medical care you may be receiving with our program, you gain a more holistic approach to your health, ensuring you stay on course and achieve enjoyable, long-lasting success.

Can I continue working with the team after completing the program?

Yes, there is an opportunity for continued engagement after graduation. Graduates can opt for a month-by-month alumni membership in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ Group. This membership allows you to maintain access to the group and participate in weekly coaching calls, providing ongoing support and community connection.

However, it's important to note that the core objective of the program is to equip you with the tools and confidence to move forward independently. We measure success by your ability to close this chapter in your life and maintain your achievements on your own. The alumni membership is there to support you in this transition, ensuring you have the resources and community support as you continue your journey independently.

Is it possible for vegans or vegetarians to participate in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe Program?

Currently, the program is not designed for individuals following a vegan or vegetarian diet. While we recognize that the habit we address is equally present among women with all types of diets, the specific nutritional approach of our program is crucial for achieving transformative and lasting results. Our methodology focuses on correcting neurochemical imbalances and deficiencies, which we have found challenging to effectively address with the restrictions of vegan or vegetarian diets. We believe in the importance of a comprehensive nutritional approach that may not be fully compatible with these diets, as we aim to ensure the most effective and sustainable outcomes for our participants.

Yes, many women begin the program with the goal of wanting to feel comfortable having just a glass or two on occasion without slipping back into old patterns. Only you will know what is possible for you once you have begun the program. Resetting your tolerance level requires that the wine and cocktails be removed from your diet for the length of the program and that you follow the protocols to facilitate the repair, rebuilding and rebalancing of your body systems. Once that is complete you'll know with confidence whether or not you want to bring wine or cocktails back into your diet.

There is no group start date. Your official start date in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ begins once you are enrolled in either the Community or Tailored tiers. Note: you are able to delay your start date for these tiers. In the Essentials tier you will choose your own start date.

You retain access to your private 1:1coaching calls, group coaching calls and your program group for a period of 6 months.

No. Our research and the beta-testing of our protocols has demonstrated that women experience the deepest transformation and highest level of confidence in maintaining their goals after the program when all modules are completed sequentially.

Some think that because The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ Tiers II & III is a group program they won't get the support they need, but this couldn't be further from the truth. In The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ you get a huge amount of support between the module-by-module and weekly emails, the one-to-one consultations, the Facebook group, and the group coaching calls.
There is nothing you would get, support-wise, working with us strictly one-to-one that you won't get inside The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™. In fact, we find that the community support inside The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ of other ladies is invaluable to women and helps them succeed.

You'll get either 3, 8 or 15 one-to-one consultations throughout your time inside The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ depending the Tier you purchase. This is what they look like: The first consultation is a 45-60 minute session that is held over Zoom (audio only) with Angelina in your first week within the program. It’s a chance for us to walk through your nutrition and supplement plans and make any adjustments required. We will review the program platform, the material in the Welcome module, the meal planner and ensure you know how to access to and complete everything you need.
For members of Tier II & Tier III we will review your benchmark assessments and identify specific areas that will be important for you to focus on over the course of the program. This is the opportunity for us to guide you and tweak anything we may need to tweak, and ensure you’re confident about the next steps. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your protocols.
Each subsequent consultation is 30-45 minutes and is scheduled by you following completion of a module. During the final consultation we will review your re-assessment results and nutritional/supplement plan moving forward. It is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have to ensure that you’re confident about the direction you want to take in the following months to continue your health transformation.

Yes! You do not need to be have an account on any social media platform to take part in the program.  Weekly coaching calls are hosted via Zoom.  Personal 1:1 coaching consultations are hosted by Zoom or phone (as a back-up).
However, we HIGHLY recommend you get a Facebook account in order to partake in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ Group. We’ve had The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ participants create a Facebook account with no photo and not “Like” any pages or “friend” anyone and only use it to participate in the program.
The private Facebook group is filled with incredible support, inspiration, and guidance and it’s the best place to get quick answers to questions that may pop up for you while you’re in the program.

The weekly group coaching calls are held at three different times slots throughout the month to give you flexibility and opportunity to attend.  If you are unable to attend a weekly group call you have the opportunity to submit questions or topics for discussion each week directly to the coach/counsellor and then watch the recording of the call.

No and yes. Laboratory testing is not required to achieve success in the program. Any copies of existing laboratory test results you wish to provide will be used to augment your benchmark health, alcohol & nutritional assessments and to personalize recommendations where appropriate.
We may recommend laboratory testing be completed through your medical practitioner or other healthcare professional if your health history suggest current laboratory data would be beneficial. We do not order, conduct, or directly receive any laboratory test results.

We do recommend selected supplements for you. It’s hard to make significant shifts in your brain and body in a short period of time by diet and lifestyle alone.
We use an professional online supplement dispensary and select supplements based on their dosages and ingredients to ensure you are not taking supplements with problematic ingredients or derivatives of problematic ingredients. We choose from a variety of different professional grade supplements.
Please be prepared to make an investment in supplements but also know that we bundle the supplements in different packages so that they can be purchased at staggered times to ensure you have what you need at the right time in the program. Should you wish to use your own supplements they must meet the ingredient/dose criteria set out in the program.

Over the course of the program women experience a progressive and continual decrease in the cravings, thoughts, desires or notions to consume alcohol. When women graduate, they no longer feel stuck in an unhealthy nightly routine. They feel confident in their choice to exclude wine or cocktails from their diet or to moderate their consumption with ease.
Other changes women experience includes weight loss, increased energy, improved sleep, increased memory, clarity and focus, less digestive upset and improved bowel movements, less aches and pains, improved moods, improved stress response, more patience and tolerance, decrease or elimination of perimenopause/menopause symptoms, healthier looking skin, hair and nails, better relationships, and a deeper sense of self and a renewed belief in their abilities and power.

What makes us so vastly different is our whole body and mind approach. Working with your physical brain and body at the cellular level with pin-point nutrition and movement to correct neurological and hormonal deficits and imbalances that have kept you stuck in the nightly cycle is the cornerstone of the program.
While working to correct the physiological/biochemical imbalances, we concurrently address the mental and emotional (psychological and philosophical) patterns of the habit through psychoeducation, cognitive behaviour training, self-discovery and professional accountability and support.  Some of these elements are exclusive to Tier II and Tier III programs.
With this holistic approach you'll experience a comprehensive mind and body experience that provides you with independence from wine or cocktails in a manner that doesn't leave you feeling like you're missing out. You leave the program with a deeply personal experience and solid understanding of how the right protocols work to break your reliance along with tangible, actionable and sustainable skills that allow you to maintain your success all on your own.

Most medical professionals/doctor are not able to give you the nutritional and personalized support you need in between appointments to ensure you stay on course. Long-term enjoyable success relies on a desirable and sustainable mental shift, along with dietary and lifestyle changes. You can not out-medicate root cause imbalances or an inadequate and problematic diet or lifestyle.

You can access the program platform and coaching calls from a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone anywhere in the world. All of the worksheets are fillable online, however access to a printer is strongly recommended. To date our clients have been located in Canada, United Kingdom and United States.

Yes, graduates of the program can maintain a month-by-month alumni membership in The Anchored Abstinence Recipe™ Group and retain access to the group and weekly coaching calls. However the objective of the program and how we measure success is based on your ability to move forward, close this chapter in your life and maintain your success independently.

Yes, when you purchase either the Self-Guided Tier I or Community Tier II programs and if you wish to have additional training and support the fees paid for your initial program at that time will be applied to your subsequent program purchase. More details can be provided at the time of your purchase.

Yes, when you complete the 13 modules of either the Tier II or Tier III programs and if you don't experience the transforming results you were expecting we will provide a refund. Read our moneyback guarantee here. But honestly, we haven't had to do that.

Yes, we offer a refund policy for the program. If you complete all 13 modules and feel that you haven't experienced the transformative results you anticipated, we will provide a refund. You can read more about our moneyback guarantee here. However, it's worth noting, we haven't had to do that, as our clients have found the program to be highly effective and deeply transformative.

No. While we do see this nightly habit equally among women who choose a vegan or vegetarian diet, you may not be able to achieve transformational or lasting results with these types of restrictive diets. We simply can't out supplement a diet that's not designed to support the correction of the neurochemical imbalances and deficiencies associated with this health condition.
